Preview: Bloomfield Warhawks vs. Wethersfield Eagles
After two games on the road, Bloomfield is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Wethersfield Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Bloomfield faced Newington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bloomfield enjoyed a cozy 68-54 victory over Newington.
Meanwhile, Wethersfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 67-62 to Windsor Locks.
Bloomfield's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points per game. As for Wethersfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Wethersfield in their previous meeting back in February as the team secured a 88-45 win. Does Bloomfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wethersfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
