Basketball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Burke Catholic. The Middie Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Burke Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Burke Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Middletown has already played their next game (against Port Chester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Burke Catholic will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chester at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
