Hialeah Educational Academy picks up fifth straight win on the road

Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie vs. Calvary Christian Academy Eagles

The Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie entered their tilt with the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Hialeah Educational Academy managed a 78-74 win over Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given Hialeah Educational Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked seventh).

Hialeah Educational Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Levy out in front who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Levy pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reece Randolph, who scored 25 points.

Hialeah Educational Academy pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Hialeah Educational Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northwestern at 12:30 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Northwestern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will take on Miami Country Day at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Miami Country Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
