Softball Game Preview: Stoughton Vikings vs. Baraboo Thunderbirds

The Stoughton Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Baraboo Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Stoughton and five for Baraboo.

On Tuesday, Stoughton came up short against Portage and fell 4-1.

Stoughton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camille Buell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Baraboo came up short against Portage on Friday, falling 10-3.

Stoughton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Baraboo, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Stoughton's way against Baraboo in their previous matchup back in April, as Stoughton made off with a 7-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
