It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Chenango Forks Blue Devils had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They strolled past the Team with points to spare, taking the game 72-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chenango Forks also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Stephen Samsel was his usual excellent self, scoring 41 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Walker Paske, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Chenango Forks' victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Sidney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Chenango Forks will head out on the road to challenge Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Waverly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 contests -- so hopefully Chenango Forks likes a good challenge. Sidney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
