Northwest Christian is a perfect 4-0 against Gilbert Christian since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Crusaders will head out to face off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northwest Christian has five straight wins, Gilbert Christian has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Northwest Christian made easy work of ALA - Ironwood and carried off an 18-7 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.
Reagan Floquet made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Unger, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last five games she's played. Kendalyn Cook was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Northwest Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Gilbert Christian and Benjamin Franklin have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Knights lost 18-3 to the Chargers.
Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Gilbert Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Gilbert Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northwest Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .435. It's a different story for Gilbert Christian, though, as they've only averaged .212. Will they be able to contain Northwest Christian's hitters?
Everything went Northwest Christian's way against Gilbert Christian when the teams last played back in March, as Northwest Christian made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
