Azle has gone 8-2 against Saginaw recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will square off against the Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. Azle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Azle didn't have quite enough to beat Fossil Ridge and fell 4-3.

Corynne Barone spent all 14 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 16 hits and racked up 15 Ks.

At the plate, Bella Tipton was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-7.

Meanwhile, Saginaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to Granbury.

Saginaw's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Azle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-2 record this season.

Everything went Azle's way against Saginaw in their previous matchup back in March, as Azle made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
