Football Recap: Dibble Demons vs. Coalgate Wildcats
On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Dibble Demons beat the Coalgate Wildcats 20-14. That's two games straight that the Demons have won by exactly six points.
Dibble can attribute much of their success to Blake Creswell, who rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. Dibble didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off ten passes before the game was over. Aj Skipper led the group effort, picking up five of those interceptions all by himself.
Dibble has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points per game. Dibble will look to defend their home field on Friday against Beggs at 7:00 p.m. Beggs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Dibble likes a good challenge. As for Coalgate, they will head out to square off against Tishomingo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coalgate is facing Tishomingo at the right time seeing as Tishomingo is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
