It was fun while it lasted, but Eagle's undefeated season came to an end after nine games on Saturday. They took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Borah Lions. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Eagle still got an impressive performance from Porter Wood, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Berkley Jones, who earned 13 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Eagle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Amayah Defares was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points along with six steals and five boards. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya Davis, who put up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eagle fell to 9-1. As for Borah, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Eagle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-40 win against Rigby on the 2nd. As for Borah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-20 victory against Twin Falls on the 2nd.
