Belton-Honea Path had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let the Mountain View Prep Stars on the board on Wednesday, marking the Bears' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Bears have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Belton-Honea Path's eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View Prep, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Belton-Honea Path will be playing in front of their home fans against Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. Mountain View Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
