Baseball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

Vandalia lost against Harrisburg on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vandals came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-2. The Vandals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vandalia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Lewis, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double was Lewis' first of the season.

Vandalia's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Harrisburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vandalia will face off against Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will take on Herrin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
