Baseball Recap: Pine View Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Pine View was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against the Lone Peak Knights, falling 11-1.

Pine View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Porter Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Pine View now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lone Peak, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Pine View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Silverado on the 14th. As for Lone Peak, they will challenge Copper Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
