Softball Recap: Peddie Has No Trouble Against Trenton Central

While Peddie put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Trenton Central. Peddie put the hurt on Trenton Central with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Iris Lin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Lin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Claire Fisher and Sam Kent did most of the damage at the plate: Fisher scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Kent scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Grace Lee, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Peddie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trenton Central only posted an OBP of .188.

Peddie now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peddie will host Blair Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trenton Central, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Ewing at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
