Softball Recap: Peddie Falcons vs. Trenton Central Tornadoes
While Peddie put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Trenton Central. Peddie put the hurt on Trenton Central with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Iris Lin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Lin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Claire Fisher and Sam Kent did most of the damage at the plate: Fisher scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Kent scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Grace Lee, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
Peddie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trenton Central only posted an OBP of .188.
