After a string of four wins, Ruston's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Beau Chene Gators by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ruston of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2016.

Ruston's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Beau Chene, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Coming up, Ruston is taking a road trip to face off against Ouachita Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beau Chene, they will square off against Rapides at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rapides will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Beau Chene surely won't give up without a fight.
