Baseball Recap: Citronelle Wildcats vs. Satsuma Gators

Citronelle had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it ten. They lost 15-3 to the Satsuma Gators. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Citronelle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kohen White, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Whyatt Nelson was another, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

As for Satsuma, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average this season.

On Satsuma's side, Andrew Sullivan looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Darius Kapua was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Crenshaw, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
