Andrew Wilson and Frank Aufmuth provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bay Area Christian. The connection was good for 99 yards, the longest such play in TAPPS Division III District 6 this season.
The Broncos moved up to 845 from 916 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Bay Area Christian climbed the ranks as a result of beating Cypress Christian 38-13.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Wilson and Aufmuth proved tough for Chris Jones' team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilson threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns and Aufmuth had 146 yards receiving. Grayson Beck helped Cypress Christian's passing attack out by catching four balls for 59 yards.
Scott Musgrove was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 68 yards as Rosehill Christian lost to the Broncos. Drew Versnel also contributed to the rushing game with 12 yards on the ground.
Jacob Spenn's team's Thomas Glazier and Aufmuth have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading TAPPS Division III District 6 in both passing and receiving yards. Glazier has thrown for 727 yards this season, while Aufmuth, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 40 catches for 533 yards. Kyle Walker from Legacy Christian Academy leads the league in rushing with 309 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Bay Area Christian. Rosehill Christian is currently in fourth, while the Broncos are in first.
Bay Area Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Warriors, 38-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
