Basketball Game Preview: Fayette Falcons vs. Blair Oaks Falcons

The Fayette Falcons will face off against the Blair Oaks Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blair Oaks took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fayette, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 13 losses in a row dating back to last season, Fayette turned things around against Linn on Friday. They managed a 50-46 victory over the Wildcats.

Kaleb Friebe was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Blake Braden was another key player, putting up five points in addition to nine rebounds and three blocks.

Fayette smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Blair Oaks suffered their closest defeat since January 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Rolla by a score of 67-64. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Fayette's win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12. As for Blair Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
