Softball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. Jordan-Matthews Jets

The Northwood Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Jordan-Matthews Jets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood has now lost nine straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 16.

Northwood came up short against Pinecrest on Monday, falling 22-7.

Makenna Lux was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Makenzie Robinson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Jordan-Matthews gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lee County as Jordan-Matthews made off with an 18-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won three in a row.

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jordan-Matthews, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.

Northwood might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Jordan-Matthews in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Northwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
