Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 3.1 yards per carry. While three picked up at least two total tackles, Hirliman stood above the rest. He rushed for 51 yards and one TD. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Olean; they were averaging 4.1yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three matchups they've fallen to only 4.5 per game.
As for Iroquois, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games.
