Basketball Recap: Lakes International Language Academy Comes Up Short

Lakes International Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 93-40 loss at the hands of the Spectrum Sting. While losing is never fun, Lakes International Language Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Spectrum is ranked 182nd).

Lakes International Language Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Spectrum, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakes International Language Academy has already played their next game (against Community of Peace Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Spectrum will head out on the road to face off against West Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Spectrum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
