Volleyball Game Preview: DuPont Manual Crimsons vs. Sacred Heart Valkyries

DuPont Manual hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Crimsons will square off against the Valkyries at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with DuPont Manual sitting on three straight wins and Sacred Heart on five.

DuPont Manual is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Male 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: DuPont Manual took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart faced Ballard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Valkyries came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 3-1.

Sacred Heart walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17.

DuPont Manual better keep an eye on Campbell Miles. She was instrumental in Sacred Heart's win, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Sacred Heart was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

DuPont Manual's record now sits at 23-14. As for Sacred Heart, their record is now 19-17.

DuPont Manual came up short against Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Crimsons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
