Volleyball Recap: Franklin Community Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Franklin Community can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Roncalli Royals on Saturday. The Grizzly Cubs haven't had much luck with the Royals recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Leading Roncalli to victory were Aiden Hill and Matthew Dial. Hill had 16 digs and one assist, while Dial had 32 assists and 11 digs. Dial has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 68 times he's played.

Franklin Community's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Roncalli, the win (which was their 24th in a row) raised their record to 27-3.

Franklin Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roncalli, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jeffersonville on the 24th.
