Basketball Recap: Menominee Comes Up Short

Menominee lost against Kingsford last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Menominee Maroons might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 64-52 to the Kingsford Flivvers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Flivvers are ranked 29th).

Menominee's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Kingsford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Menominee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-47 victory against Gladstone on the 24th. As for Kingsford, they will head out to face off against Norway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norway will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Kingsford surely won't give up without a fight.
