Basketball Recap: Balmorhea Comes Up Short

Balmorhea lost against Van Horn back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Balmorhea Bears fell 55-42 to the Van Horn Eagles.

It was another big night for David Baeza, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Van Horn. Baeza has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Gonzalez, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Balmorhea's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Van Horn, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Balmorhea will challenge Westbrook at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Van Horn, they will face off against Marfa at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Van Horn is facing Marfa at the right time seeing as Marfa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
