Baseball Recap: River Road Takes a Loss

River Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Tulia Hornets, falling 20-10. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-8 loss back in March.

Diego Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. Zantiago Marrufo was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

River Road's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Tulia, their record is now 14-7-1.

Coincidentally, River Road and Tulia will both be playing Childress the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
