Baseball Recap: Logan Wins Going Away Against Mora

Logan waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes with a sharp 34-2 win. The game marked the Longhorns' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Kale Griffiths made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Griffiths was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Logan got a massive performance out of Aydin Kotara, who fired off eight RBI, four runs, and two triples while going 4-for-5. Kotara has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. Mitchell Wall was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances.

Logan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Logan's record is now 4-1. As for Mora, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will welcome Santa Rosa at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mora, they will take on Penasco at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
