Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Cadets vs. Herron Achaeans

The Cascade Cadets will take on the Herron Achaeans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cascade has three straight victories, Herron has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Cascade didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Speedway, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win.

Meanwhile, Herron was beaten by Riverside 70-30 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Achaeans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Argonauts are ranked 160th).

The victory got Cascade back to even at 7-7. As for Herron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for Cascade against Herron in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 66-34 win. Does Cascade have another victory up their sleeve, or will Herron turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
