Basketball Recap: Tyree White Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Charlotte Country Day School

Covenant Day lost to Charlotte Country Day School back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Covenant Day Lions secured a 69-65 W over the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Covenant Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyree White out in front who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. White's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Rivens, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.

Charlotte Country Day School's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braylon Clark, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Those 19 points gave Clark a new career-high. Davonta Dj Lindsey was another key player, going 6-for-14 to rack up 16 points.

Covenant Day's record now sits at 16-13. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 16-13.
