Soccer Game Preview: Wagner vs. Boerne-Champion

Wagner hasn't had much luck against Boerne-Champion recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wagner Thunderbirds will challenge the Boerne-Champion Chargers at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wagner is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game on Friday. They lost 5-0 to Smithson Valley. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Rangers are ranked 327th).

Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against New Braunfels, falling 4-1.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Boerne-Champion, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-5.

Wagner might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Boerne-Champion in their previous meeting back in February. Can Wagner avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
