Football Recap: Hoboken Falls Short of Rutherford in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Hoboken and Rutherford squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hoboken had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 31-28 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Redwings have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Hoboken lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Devin McMillan, who rushed for 162 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Jaeon Walker was in the mix as well, providing Hoboken with two touchdowns.

Hoboken's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Rutherford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Hoboken does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rutherford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 47-0 defeat against Shabazz on the 7th.
