Baseball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Bethel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs, falling 18-3. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 10-2.

Bethel Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Smith, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Smith also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Bethel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Bethel Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge The Master's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against IC Imagine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Kingfishers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.4 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
