Recap: Marshall Rams vs. SA Roosevelt Rough Riders
The Marshall Rams suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against SA Roosevelt, falling 78-47. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marshall in their matchups with SA Roosevelt: they've now lost three in a row.
SA Roosevelt's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Liserio, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals. Liserio hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Thomas, who scored 17 points.
Marshall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for SA Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.
Marshall on the road again on Wednesday and play against Brandeis at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Brandeis is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for SA Roosevelt, they will be playing at home against Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than SA Roosevelt in Texas (Lee is ranked 149th, while SA Roosevelt is ranked 535th).
