Football Recap: Apache Junction Takes a Loss

Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Show Low Cougars, falling 57-0.

Jett Walker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Show Low, rushing for 108 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing yards Walker has posted since back in October of 2024. Kash Perkins was another key player, rushing for seven yards and one touchdown.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Show Low, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Apache Junction and Show Low will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Prospectors see the field they'll take on Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Show Low, their break will end when they face Round Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
