Basketball Game Preview: Neuse Christian Academy Lions vs. Thales Academy Apex Titans

The Neuse Christian Academy Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Thales Academy Apex Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Neuse Christian Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with seven straight losses, while Thales Academy Apex will come in with three straight victories.

Neuse Christian Academy lost 64-38 to St. Thomas More Academy on Tuesday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aidan Graham, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Brown, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Thales Academy Apex beat Friendship Christian 46-33 on Thursday.

Thales Academy Apex has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Neuse Christian Academy took a serious blow against Thales Academy Apex in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 81-35. Thankfully for Neuse Christian Academy, Nathan Purvis (who went 11 of 21 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
