Softball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Whitmer Panthers

Anthony Wayne is a perfect 7-0 against Whitmer since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Generals will challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Anthony Wayne will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Monday, Anthony Wayne was able to grind out a solid victory over Perrysburg, taking the game 8-3.

Megan Sumner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Meanwhile, Whitmer entered their game against Findlay on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 18-17.

Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Anthony Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Anthony Wayne got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Whitmer by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Generals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
