Baseball Recap: Auburndale Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Auburndale's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Pasco Pirates 7-1. The Bloodhounds not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th.

Colin Holmes and Hayden Sosa-Morris did most of the damage at the plate: Holmes scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Sosa-Morris went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Sosa-Morris snagged this season.

Auburndale's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Pasco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Auburndale will venture away from home to take on Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Auburndale's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pasco, they will host Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
