Baseball Preview: Hopkins Hilltoppers vs. Brunswick School Bruins

The Hopkins Hilltoppers will head out to square off against the Brunswick School Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopkins is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Hopkins made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Frederick Gunn, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hilltoppers blew past the Highlanders 10-3 on Monday. Considering the Hilltoppers have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sean Studley made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tommy O'Connell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Rocco DeMaio III was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
