Volleyball Recap: Ava Kuffrey Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Academe of the Oaks

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Providence Classical Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Academe of the Oaks Firebirds as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Firebirds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Classical Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Kuffrey, who had six aces and three digs. Those three digs gave Kuffrey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elise McNutt, who had seven aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Providence Classical Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matches.

Providence Classical Christian's record is now 5-7. As for Academe of the Oaks, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Providence Classical Christian has already played their next matchup (against Promise Prepatory Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Academe of the Oaks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Covington Academy on the 6th.
