It's playoff time, and Simla had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Sedgwick County Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Cubs sure are getting used to it with their 22nd in a row.
Carlee Cox paced Simla's offense, picking up 15 kills. Cox got some help from Trenna Kocerha and her 20 assists. Aubrey Layton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Simla's win bumped their record up to 27-2. As for Sedgwick County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 24-8 record.
As of now, neither Simla nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
