Cristo Rey Jesuit is 7-1 against Holy Trinity since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cristeros will welcome the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Cristo Rey Jesuit will be strutting in after a win while Holy Trinity will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Cristo Rey Jesuit earned a 2-0 victory over Blue Island Eisenhower. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Cristeros this season.

Cristo Rey Jesuit got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 31-29.

Meanwhile, Holy Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Chicago Hope Academy.

Holy Trinity actually scored more points across those three sets (61-58), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 8-25, 25-18.

Holy Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Cristo Rey Jesuit beat Holy Trinity 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Cristeros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
