Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Yavneh Academy won the last time they faced Lakehill Prep, and Darren Sacher did his part to make sure it happened again. The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 54-36 win over the Lakehill Prep Warriors on Sunday thanks in part to Sacher, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 24 points. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Brendy Eber, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Preston Corder, who scored nine points. Kalen White was another key player, putting up six points.

Yavneh Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Lakehill Prep, they moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yavneh Academy will welcome Chisholm Trail Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakehill Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lone Star North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakehill Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season.
