Recap: Irondale Knights vs. East Ridge Raptors
The Irondale Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 85-32 loss at the hands of East Ridge. Irondale has struggled against East Ridge recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Dedominces, who scored 16 points. Dedominces scored a full 50% of Irondale's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Dahm, who scored four points.
Irondale bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for East Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irondale and Forest Lake will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Forest Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Irondale in Minnesota (Forest Lake is ranked 67th, while Irondale is ranked 262nd). As for East Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Onalaska at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
