Volleyball Recap: Highland Huskies vs. Heritage Christian Eagles

Highland lost against Heritage Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Highland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.

Abbie Martinez paced Highland's offense, picking up eight kills. Martinez got some help from Leah Varra and her eight assists. Nikki Quinones controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Abby Leveillee was a one-woman wrecking crew For Heritage Christian. as she had 25 digs and four aces. Those 25 digs gave Leveillee a new career-high. Bethanny Phillips also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Heritage Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
