American Collegiate Academy snaps three-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: American Collegiate Academy Rough Riders vs. Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons

It was a good run, but the American Collegiate Academy Rough Riders unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-27 walloping at the hands of Saint Stephen's Episcopal. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points American Collegiate Academy has scored all season.

Despite the loss, American Collegiate Academy still got an impressive performance from Tristan Townsend, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Townsend hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.

American Collegiate Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Saint Stephen's Episcopal racked up 15 assists.

Cade Walters went supernova for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Walters hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Deprenger, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

American Collegiate Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15.

American Collegiate Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hernando Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Hernando Christian Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Saint Stephen's Episcopal will take on Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bradenton Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saint Stephen's Episcopal in Florida (Bradenton Christian is ranked 101st, while Saint Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 649th).
