The Norwayne Bobcats will head out to square off against the Hillsdale Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Norwayne can't be too worried about heading out to take on Hillsdale: they just beat Dalton at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Bobcats never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday.

Abby Workman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makenna Heyden, who fired off three home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Kylie Heyden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Norwayne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dalton only posted a batting average of .160.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale made easy work of Waynedale on Monday and carried off a 13-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won seven in a row.
Jordyn Fickes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Schmitz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Norwayne pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Hillsdale, their record is now 16-6.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Norwayne has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Hillsdale struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Norwayne came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillsdale in their previous matchup last Wednesday, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
