It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Springtown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Castleberry Lions 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Porcupines in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Springtown's victory bumped their record up to 15-8-1. As for Castleberry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springtown will challenge Decatur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Porcupines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Castleberry, they will face off against Gordon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
