Softball Game Preview: Oxford Wildcats vs. Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans

The Oxford Wildcats will take on the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Oxford: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Cedar Vale/Dexter has snatched up 11 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Last Monday, Oxford came up short against Udall and fell 9-6.

Cora Gillenwater made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cedar Vale/Dexter got the win against Udall on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Spartans have won six matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
