Baseball Game Preview: Airport Jets vs. Riverview Pirates

The Airport Jets will head out to square off against the Riverview Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Airport lost 9-3 to Milan on Wednesday. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Riverview came up short against Franklin on Saturday and fell 5-1.

Riverview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Rice, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Riverview dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Airport, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Airport's way against Riverview when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Airport made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Jets repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
