Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs vs. Northeast Vikings
After soaring to 65 points the game before, the Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-17 defeat at the hands of Northeast. While losing is never fun, Maritime Academy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Northeast is ranked 88th).
Maritime Academy Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadin Aviles, who scored six points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zibri Miller, who scored three points along with three steals.
Northeast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bobby Perry out in front who scored ten points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season. Michael Freeman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Maritime Academy Charter's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Northeast, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
