Olympic came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against South Mecklenburg, but Phoenix Modie wouldn't allow it. Everything went the South Mecklenburg Sabres' way against the Olympic Trojans on Wednesday as the South Mecklenburg Sabres made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Modie, who had 16 kills, 15 aces, and eight digs. That's the most digs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Mecklenburg was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-8.

South Mecklenburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Olympic, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Mecklenburg will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Ballantyne Ridge at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olympic, they will welcome Berry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
